1. Read John 5:31:36. In what ways did John the Baptizer point to Jesus?

2. Read John 5:36; Matthew 12:24; Matthew 9:1-8. How did those who witnessed Jesus’ miracles miss His power? Who did they wrongly attribute them to?

3. Read John 5:37-38; Matthew 3:16-17; Matthew 17:5. What do these verses say about Jesus in relation to the Father? Why is this important?

4. Read John 5:39-44. Despite having the Scriptures, what did the religious people miss? As you survey your own walk, do you find this happening to you as well?

5. John 5:45-47; John 1:17; Deuteronomy 8:15. What do these passages say/ show about Moses? How is this important in regards to what the people believed?

For pondering: Do you not see miracles correctly because you define them wrongly? Miracles are happening everywhere everyday in every way you cannot currently see.
