1. Read John 4:27-30. What was counter cultural about this interaction? What actions did the woman take?

2. Read John 4:31-34. What were the disciples struggling to understand? Why do you think they struggled with this?

3. Read John 4:35-38. What is Jesus trying to get people to understand through this parable? How do you find contentment with your “role” in spiritual farming?

4. Read John 4:39-40. What swayed the Samaritans to believe in Jesus? What can you do to learn from the Samaritan woman in verses 29 and 39?

5. Read John 4:41-42. What swayed the “many more to believe” in this passage? How does this connect with verses 39-40?

For pondering: When it comes to the spiritual harvest, stop assigning more worth to one job than another. ALL are equally important and necessary!
